LECHNER MUSEUM
Museum created in 2000, presenting temporary exhibitions of contemporary art based on metal and wrought iron.
A former hall of the car manufacturer Audi is now home to works of art made of metal and wrought iron. The museum was founded in 2000 by the city of Ingolstadt in association with the Alf Lechner Foundation. In temporary exhibitions, the Lechner Museum presents works of contemporary art. The focus is on sculpture, as Lechner himself is active in this field. With about 80 sculptures in Germany alone, Alf Lechner is one of the most represented sculptors in the public space.
