An original campsite with barrel-shaped bungalows on the banks of the Danube, not far from Regensburg city centre.

The campsite is situated on the banks of the Danube, about 2 km from the old town of Regensburg. The design of the bungalows, which can be rented on a weekly basis, is unique: they are shaped like large barrels and are comfortably furnished as rooms. The use of wood, the round shape and the small openings give them a false hobbit village look. Also on the spot: hut-type accommodation.

Obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten und der Platz fast voll war wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und bekamen 2 Stellplätze zur Auswahl. Kleiner gemütlicher Campingplatz direkt am Donauradweg. Mit dem Rad ist man in ca. 10 Min. in der Innenstadt.
Sanitärräume und WC waren geheizt und sauber, Es gab einen Brötchenservice.
Der Platz selber ist grün, ruhig, sauber, die Stellplätze sind ausreichend groß und für den Sommer gibt es viel Schatten.

Super gelegen für Radtouren an der Donau bis Kehlheim und weiter oder in die Altstadt. Das waren aber auch schon die 3 Sterne. Sanitäranlagen sehr alt, zum Teil defekt, Frischwasser mit Schlauch aus altem Sanitärgebäude, ... Komfortplatz nur etwas größer als Standard, wenn man Glück hat, reichen 20 Meter Stromkabel zu den uralten, nicht mehr wirklich vertrauenswürdigen Verteilerkästen. Deshalb ist der Platz für die Leistung auch deutlich überteuert.

Der Platz war ok. Ausreichend für ein paar Nächte. Man hört im Hintergrund die Autobahn ,doch man ist mit dem Fahrrad in 10 min in der Altstadt, vorbei an der Donau. Was ich schlecht fand ist, dass die Sanitäranlagen für Frauen in einem der beiden Waschhäuser komplett defekt und nicht verfügbar war und im anderen beide Geschlechter gemischt waren. Ausserdem kam am Spülbecken braunes Wasser worauf man mir sagte man müsse das Wasser erst einmal laufen lassen, sie seien alt. Naja
