Just around the corner from Goliathstrasse and Watmarkt, in one of the town's old alleyways, you'll come across the former Goliathhaus castle, built in the early Gothic style. Its north facade depicts the battle of David and Goliath according to the Bible, painted by Franz Rinner and subsequently restored. The Goliathhaus and its neighbor, the Steuer House, were built at the request of families belonging to Regensburg's aristocracy. The north facade features a leaning David who, armed with his slingshot, defeats the giant Goliath.
