KEPLERHAUS (KEPLER HOUSE)
House where the astronomer and mathematician Johannes Kepler died shortly after his arrival in Regensburg.
Johannes Kepler stayed in the house that now houses the museum during his stay in Regensburg in 1630. After his employer Wallenstein was fired, he sought an audience with Emperor Ferdinand II, who was in town for a Diet, to demand his due. The famous German astronomer and mathematician, to whom we owe the laws of planetary motion or Kepler's laws, died after a sudden illness a few days after his arrival in Regensburg.
