This beautiful mountain lake is a popular destination for visitors to the Bayerischer Wald, the Bavarian Forest. This remnant of the last Ice Age offers an enchanting landscape at a height of 935 m and a maximum water depth of 16 m over an area equivalent to 8 ha, just waiting for your visit. If the climate is right and time is not on your side, you can then visit your little brother on the other side of the forest to the north, the Kleiner Arbersee, or at the summit of the nearby Großer Arber.
