This small chain of bakery-cafes, with a dozen branches in Bavaria and southern Germany (there are also some in Munich, Rosenheim, etc.), dedicated to bread and coffee, offers a good selection of sliced breads, topped with tasty spreads. The gothic vault of the Aran Kronprinz Haus alone is worth a visit! And since you were wondering: Aran is the name that the Vikings gave to their bread, and it is the name that has been reused in this bakery where bread is made with natural leaven.
