A magnificent gothic church made of red bricks, emblematic of Landshut.
The Gothic St. Martin's Church in Landshut is a true architectural and artistic achievement of Hans von Burghausen. It took more than a century to complete, starting in 1389 and finishing in 1500. The exterior, marked by red brick, conceals a very bright interior. The Stirnseite Madonna is signed by Hans Leinberger in 1518 and the crucifix dates from 1475. The choir stalls, the seats for the clergy on either side of the church choir, date from 1500.
