RATHAUS LANDSHUT
The Landshut town hall is a beautiful neo-Gothic building in the center of the town.
Opposite the Stadtresidenz, Landshut's town hall with its three triangular gable facades is an impressive sight. Although its origins date back to the 14th century, the building was remodeled in 1860 according to neo-Gothic plans inspired by the city hall in Frankfurt am Main. In the opulent ceremonial hall, a historicist fresco from the 19th century depicts the sumptuous Landshut Wedding, which in 1475 celebrated the union between George the Rich, son of the Bavarian Duke Ludwig the Rich, and Hedwig Jagellon, daughter of the Polish King Casimir IV.
