A beautiful Italian Renaissance residential palace in the centre of Landshut.
This magnificent architectural ensemble was built between 1536 and 1543 by Duke Ludwig X. It caused a sensation at the time as it was the first Italian style building in Germany! The Stadtresidenz has some very beautiful features, such as the coat of arms of Ludwig X in carved stone. The ceremonial rooms are magnificent with their stucco work and frescos depicting mythology. The beautiful courtyard has a stage for concerts and theatrical performances.
