NASSAUER KELLER
Franconian specialties, including the famous Schweineschäufela, under a 12th century vault.
The Nassauer Keller is located in a 12th century vaulted cellar in the heart of Nuremberg, right across from the St. Lawrence Church. A very small outer door leads to an underground restaurant, located at a depth of 6.50 meters! 21 very steep steps: be careful going down! But in order not to deprive anyone, there is an elevator. On the menu are Franconian specialties, including the famous Schweineschäufela (pork shoulder) or Sauerbraten (beef with sweet and sour sauce). Half a dozen vegetarian options.
