RESTAURANT HEILIG-GEIST-SPITAL
Traditional Franconian cuisine, simple and hearty, to be enjoyed in the restaurant overlooking the river Pegnitz.
The former hospital "du Saint-Esprit", founded in 1331, is now home to a restaurant. More precisely, in the former patients' refectory (a bridge room spanning the river), Franconian cuisine is served, simple and hearty, in traditional dress. Prices are a little steep for rustic dishes of no great finesse; I guess you're paying for the setting. The place is very large, so there's always plenty of room. Very pretty courtyard at the entrance.
