HISTORISCHE FELSENGÄNGE
A guided tour through the basement of the cellars where the people of Nuremberg stored their beer in the Middle Ages.
In the 14th century, underground tunnels were dug under the houses to store the beer brewed in the city. During the war, many Nuremberg residents took refuge here and thus escaped certain death under the bombs. Today, you can visit these remains, which have been maintained by an association since the 1980s. Take a little wool, because did you know that the beer is brewed at 10°C... For an hour, a guide will explain the history of these galleries as well as that of beer. You can opt for a tasting on arrival!
