HANDWERKERHOF
The courtyard of the artisans forms a miniature village in the city with small paved streets lined with shops straight out of the Middle Ages.
Easily spotted behind the large Frauentorturm watchtower, the Handwerkerhof (craftsmen's courtyard) forms a miniature village within the city with small cobbled streets lined with stalls straight out of the Middle Ages. You can stroll through the courtyard, perhaps find a few souvenirs or simply look around for pleasure, before settling down for a coffee or a beer, of course, and why not a Nuremberg sausage sandwich. It is here that you can watch the making of the famous Nuremberg gingerbread during the Christmas market at the end of December.
