ST. GUMBERTUS-KIRCHE
Protestant church with a large Gothic tower located in Ansbach, offering an attractive interior that's both Baroque and sober.
Its large Gothic tower does not let you guess the rather sober (it is a Protestant church) but pretty Baroque interior. Many sites to discover: the old convent church whose Gothic annexes were built in the 15th century, the Baroque church with its imposing organs, the Romanesque crypt dating from 1040 and which was dug under the chapel of the Knights of the Swan as well as the Princes' vault composed of 26 coffins of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Ansbach (from the house of Hohenzollern) of the 17th and 18th centuries.
