FÜRSTBISCHÖFLICHE RESIDENZ
Residence built for the Princes of Eichstätt, featuring a staircase, hall of mirrors, garden and gold statue.
The baroque Residenz was once built for the prince-bishops of Eichstätt. The Italian architect Gabrieli was able to endow it with the majesty of the greatest. The most beautiful rooms include the majestic staircase and the Hall of Mirrors. In the garden stands a golden statue of the Virgin Mary, Bavaria's patron saint. Since 1977, the former residence has served as the main office building of the Eichstätt district.
