A little removed from the hustle and bustle of the city centre and yet right in the middle of the medieval centre of Rothenburg, this inn offers both Franconian specialities and vegetarian dishes. On your plate, for example, you'll find spätzle, fillet of trout or knödels with spinach. It's good without being too fancy. The small interior has the feel of a traditional tavern without the darkness to which the Bavarian Gaststätten have accustomed you. Upstairs there are four guest rooms, with the possibility of renting a kitchen.
