LUSAM GARDEN
A tiny flower garden in the former courtyard of a collegiate church, with a small cloister and Romanesque columns.
A veritable haven of peace in the heart of the city center, this tiny flower garden offers a pleasant stop-off after a visit to Neumünster or St. Kilian's Cathedral. It is, to be exact, the former courtyard of the Neumünster collegiate church, just next door, and the garden retains something of the feel of a small cloister with its Romanesque columns. Here stands the cenotaph (a single stone) of Walther von der Vogelweide (1170-1230), a medieval lyric poet. It is said that placing a flower here solves all problems of the heart... A word to the wise!
