GEYERSWÖRTH CASTLE
The palace was the residence of the prince-bishops in the century and today houses the town's administrative offices.
This former residential palace, in its present form, was completed in 1588-1589. The ravages of time have left their mark, and extensive restoration and renovation work is currently underway to bring it back to its former glory. For a time in the 18th century, this Renaissance palace served as the residence of the prince-bishops of Bamberg. Today, it houses the city's administrative offices. The adjoining garden offers a pleasant, refreshing break.
