Homemade cakes, coffee from a Nuremberg burner, vintage furniture and a few euro-pallets turned into seats. It is this mix that makes the charm of this small, friendly café in the centre of Bayreuth. There is also a small terrace on Ludwigstraße for sunny days. Lena Sanders, the manager and pastry chef of the Torten Schmiede, takes pleasure in creating very original, personalised wedding and birthday cakes. A place that will please visitors as well as locals and students.
