STADTKIRCHE
A beautiful, beautifully restored Protestant Gothic church with the crypt of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Bayreuth.
Bayreuth's Stadtkirche is a late-Gothic church that became Protestant during the Reformation. The interior is extremely pure, with white walls and red pillars. Behind the altar is the entrance to the crypt. This is the resting place of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Bayreuth and their relatives. Genealogy fans can use the touch screens to identify the various sarcophagi. Wilhelmine's tomb is in the Schlosskirche.
