VILLA WAHNFRIED & MUSÉE RICHARD-WAGNER
The last home of the great Richard Wagner, where the composer's world can be found inside and outside the villa.
Founded in 1976, the museum dedicated to the life and work of the famous composer and the history of the Bayreuth Festival is located in the Villa Wahnfried, the last home of Richard Wagner and his wife after years of wandering. It has recently been renovated and extended by one building. Both Wagner and his wife, Cosima, are buried in the garden of the house they lived in and paid for thanks to the composer's patron, King Ludwig II of Bavaria.
