ALTES RATHAUS LINDAU
Lindau's old town hall is a beautiful Renaissance building that delights visitors with its colourful facade.
Lindau's old town hall is located between two of the city's most beautiful streets, Maximilianstraße and Ludwigsstraße. It was built between 1422 and 1436 in the Gothic style and only in 1578 did it get its Renaissance style. Renovated for three years in 1972, the building still symbolises the prosperity of the city, which had the great privilege of hosting an Imperial Diet (Reichstag) in 1496. The colourful facade of the building still attracts the attention of visitors and invites them to discover the history of the city.
