The origin of this Franciscan convent, located in the heart of the city, dates back to the 13th century. Sister Crescentia (Anna Höß by her civil name) spent a large part of her life in this convent in the 18th century. She was beatified and declared a saint in 2001 by Pope John Paul II and is venerated in the Klosterkirche, the convent church, in a glass sarcophagus. Not far from here, the Sankt-Blasius-Kirche is also worth a visit, especially for its late Gothic altar made in the early 16th century.
