Probably the most famous puppet theatre in Germany. Its puppets have been the subject of TV programmes.
This puppet theatre is known far beyond the borders of Augsburg, as the little dolls were shown on West German television from the 1960s onwards. The theatre in Augsburg still offers German-language performances for young and old. The programme of performances is available on the website under "Spielplan". In the museum "die Kiste" you can see the most famous puppets: Jim Knopf, Lukas der Lokführer, etc. A journey through time.
