PERLACHTURM
The tower is adjacent to the town hall. The view from the top is magnificent: the splendid Augsburg radiates under your feet.
The Perlachturm is the tower adjacent to the town hall. It is also the belfry of St. Peter's Church (Peterskirche). The tower and the town hall were built by Elias Holl in the Renaissance style. The view from the top, 70 metres above the square, is magnificent: you can see all of Augsburg. When the yellow flag flies over the western clock face, you will have a clear view of the Alps. When this happens, Augsburgers and tourists alike climb the 261 steps to the platform to enjoy the view.
