SCHAEZLERPALAIS
A magnificent baroque palace in the centre of Augsburg, with a collection of paintings.
This magnificent baroque house, built for the banker Benedikt Adam Liebert von Liebenhofen (1730-1810) who made his fortune in the lucrative silver trade, houses a diverse collection of paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries. Famous German artists such as Johann Baptist Zimmermann (1680-1758) and Matthäus Günther are also represented in the Deutsche Barockgalerie. The beautiful festival hall and the adjoining rococo garden can still be visited today.
