Steingaden is easily reached by car from Munich on the A95 freeway, or from Stuttgart/Ulm on the A7. Steingaden can also be reached via the B17, known as the "Romantische Straße", or by following the Deutsche Alpenstraße from Oberstdorf. For those who prefer public transport, Steingaden can be reached by train from Füssen, Schongau or Peiting Ost station, and then by regional bus to Steingaden.
