LIEBFRAUENMÜNSTER
This gothic church was built in the 15th century. Its beautiful frescoes and tabernacle are worth seeing.
This beautiful Gothic cathedral at the western end of Reichsstraße was built in the 15th century. It was built of brick and could be consecrated in 1467 by the Bishop of Augsburg after only 23 years of construction. During the air raids on Donauwörth on April 11 and 19, 1945, the cathedral suffered severe damage. The west facade was blown open by an explosive bomb, the star vaults and the choir windows were partially destroyed. The Gothic frescoes from the 15th and 16th centuries and the tabernacle are worth seeing.
