ST.-GEORGES CHURCH
Beautiful Gothic church with a 90-metre-high tower, offering a fascinating view from the top.
The construction of this beautiful Gothic church of St. George began on 17 October 1427. It dominates the whole town with its tower - colloquially called "Daniel" by the locals - which was completed in 1490 and is 90 m high and can be visited. The view from the top of the tower is breathtaking and fascinating. The high altar was made by Friedrich Herlin in 1462. In 1523-1525, during the Reformation initiated by the preacher Martin Luther, St. George's Church became the Protestant place of worship in Nördlingen.
