It is in Tsévié, at the Adjit'Art park, that I meet the artist Ake O'Lokan. He puts me in touch with Victor, the manager of the international wader troop, Afuma. The next day, we will meet again: in Harley Davidson, with Ake, we will cover the 35 km that separate Tsévié from Lomé. I arrive with my hair tousled but in time to meet this exceptional trio. After fruitful exchanges, the troupe, which works for Cirque du Soleil among others, offered me the opportunity to learn about stilts. I am not too reassured but I finally accept the challenge. They prepare me with 50 cm raffia stilts and help me get up. I'm getting higher, I'm a little worried but in good hands. I then take the rhythm they impose on me: 1-2-1-2-2-1-2-2 and a few moments later, here I am walking alone on these long sticks! I realize then the difficulty of this discipline and the concentration necessary to have, especially for this troop that climbs on stilts 5 meters high to perform incredible tricks!
