CODHANI

CODHANI is a co-operative of persons with physical disabilities. It was established in 1977 with the support of the DED to occupy the disabled and improve their living conditions. At the beginning, ten lepers or blind members mounted the production and sale of the soap. Today, the co-operative has 51 members of different types of disabilities, dealing with artisanal production of batik, dyeing and sewing and the marketing of their products. CODHANI sells loincloths created and made by members themselves, household linen, men's, women's and children's clothes, and accessories such as purses. All the products are manufactured with the different techniques of the batik.
