MINISTÈRE DU TOURISME
Togo, located in West Africa on the shores of the Gulf of Benin, is a country full of little miracles. From the beauty of a child's smile to a waterfall in the heart of the forest, Togo offers breathtaking scenery. Its history dates back to the migrations of peoples in search of safer, more welcoming lands. Today, the country is marked by great ethnic and cultural diversity, with many distinctive traditions to be discovered along its 650 km length. Despite the penetration of Christianity and Islam, the Togolese remain deeply attached to their animist beliefs and ancestral customs. Fetishists and diviners play an important role in Togolese society, dispensing gris-gris and practicing traditional medicine alongside modern medicine. Lomé is an excellent starting point for exploring Togo. It offers numerous hotels, including Hôtel Ecole Lébénin, Hôtel Napoléon, Hôtel Sarakawa, Ologe and Résidence Hôtelière Océane. Lomé also offers a variety of activities, restaurants and a lively nightlife.
