With its magical rituals, ancestral dances and traditional songs, this unique festival lifts the veil on the practices of the voodoo cult.
This is Togo's major artistic event, with some 50,000 festival-goers expected to attend. It usually takes place in January, every year, over a four-day period. The festival is the brainchild of the Acofin association, whose aim is to safeguard and promote the traditional rites of the voodoo cult. The program includes ceremonies, ancestral dances, slavery songs and photographic exhibitions. A unique festival that brings to light the practices of this mystical cult.
