PARC ADJIT'ART
4 km north of Tsévié, past the prefecture and deep in the Togolese bush, visual artist Ake O'Lokan draws inspiration, communes with nature and creates original straw sculptures. On arrival, you're charmed by this authentic site rich in biodiversity and by the cordial welcome of the artist and those close to him.
Opened in January 2018, this park has become a veritable open-air museum where you can stroll between original sculptures, created by the artist himself. The atmosphere is peculiar, but you soon feel fascinated by this unique place created by Ake O'Lokan, a colorful and intriguing character. In addition to his talents as a sculptor and singer, he is above all the guardian of ancestral African spiritual knowledge. In fact, he offers his services as a consultant for finding peace and serenity. His wise words captivate until sleep calls. For the moment, a mud hut welcomes visitors for the night. Accommodation is basic, but the wood fire and nature lull us with their harmonious sounds. The Adjit'Art park is also a promising African cultural center, already hosting highly original shows such as a performance of sacred chants around the deity Mami Watta, as well as the Afuma stilt-walkers' troupe and the plastic arts festival. The artist also offers mystical tales, forest walks to discover sacred plants and voodoo tours of the Zio prefecture. An exceptional place not to be missed!
