Discovered in 2000 by some young villagers, the Womé waterfall has become one of the region's major tourist attractions, attracting many travellers and locals alike, especially at weekends. Located close to the border with Ghana, it boasts a landscape of outstanding beauty. The site has been landscaped, and you have to descend 336 steps and walk for a while through lush vegetation to reach the small, shady waterfall. The pool invites you to take a refreshing dip. The return journey can be strenuous, so take regular breaks.
