A former refuge during tribal wars, this cave is now known as the "Bat Cave" due to the abundance of these mammals. The presence of these animals dissuaded Ashanti warriors from seeking out more of their Ewe enemies; as a reward for this protection, local populations banned the consumption of bats. The site can be reached after a twenty-minute walk from the village of Kouma-Adamé.
