Harvest festival in Akposso and Akébou country. This annual festival takes place in Amlamé and Badou. "Ova" means "fonio" in Akposso and "Zu" means "festival". Its purpose is to thank the gods who have favored an abundant harvest and protected the members of the community. Fonio played a determining role during attacks by invading peoples. It is also an opportunity for the Akposso-Akebou members to get together and commemorate a part of their memory. This festival is marked by several ceremonies, such as the worship of ancestors.
