Not far from Pya Pittah, or a little further down the road at Tcharé, you'll find traditional blacksmiths. Train rails and truck rims are salvaged and then melted down. The metal is worked and shaped using a granite stone. Blacksmiths make castanets, hoes, working tools and hunting arrows. It's possible to appreciate their work on site, and to appreciate the difficult conditions of their trade.

Very surprising! You return visitors in the hut of the blacksmiths where 3 men work. One maintenance fire with bellows, the other the fully lives up metal while 3rd at arm's length hammers it with a stone 5 kg. You feel to go up a few centuries!
