Every Wednesday is one of the biggest markets in the region, and indeed in the country. The market only comes alive from 11am. Commercial activity is intense and versatile. You'll find a bit of everything: agricultural produce, utensils, clothing and loincloths, butchery. The market is also a moment of relaxation for the locals, who gather under the tchouk sheds to drink a calabash of millet beer and chat. For connoisseurs, at the back of the market you'll find dog meat, sold in portions.
