The Tem of Assoli celebrate the harvest by thanking the deities and spirits with offerings, dances and songs.
This is the traditional festival of the Tem of Assoli who celebrate the harvest. The people pay homage to the deities and the spirits with offerings to thank them for the good harvest. Traditional songs and dances enliven this festivity where this ethnic group meets for the occasion in joy and good humor. Kamaka means "the hammock" in the Tem language because traditionally, the chief was transported as a sign of homage using this means of transport, made of raffia. The ceremonies take place in December at the municipal stadium of Bafilo.
