In the heart of the historic centre, this pretty, pleasantly shaded temple dates from the 16th century. Destroyed in 1827, it was rebuilt many times. It has a small pagoda with a lotus flower roof, an old library, a statue of the Earth Goddess Phra Mae Thorani, and other small Buddhist structures. The sim, whose entrance is guarded by two nagas, contains beautiful murals. Opposite, a 3-storey tower houses a percussion. It's one of the least visited temples in the city.
