We had a lovely time in Luang Prabang. Outside of the city, however, we had a very negative experience and have yet to hear back from Manifa regarding our issues. We ended up having to spend an extra $750 USD on hotels and transfers to safely depart Vang Vieng, where the level of safety, support, and service dropped SUBSTANTIALLY. We did not participate in any activities in Vang Vieng on the second day, including lunch on the first day, and we only had a half day tour in Vientiane and had to pay for our own airport transfer. Additionally, we had to throw away our clothing after being left by a non-Manifa tour guide in a fetid portion of the river, and one of our members hit his head while being transported in a tuk tuk (versus the minivan that was mentioned in our quote). As clients who paid over $4k total for a comprehensive tour of Laos, we were disappointed by the service, disregard for safety, and responsiveness of Manifa during the latter half of our trip. Yuki offered to refund us only one day of activities for a total of $200 and then never responded to us again. Disappointing. Do not book.

We did the full day tour today, Mekong Cruise to Pak Ou Caves. Kuang Si Waterfalls . Local village tour and lunch at the Elephant Camp. The food was 10+, the best we've tasted so far, 3 weeks into our Asia travel. Our guide Mr Dan was also 10+, very professional, so much fun and gave us great knowledge. Would highly recommend Mr Dan to anyone.
