Next door to the Vat Meuna pagoda, in the heart of a tropical garden, Villa Maydou is the ideal place for a relaxing stay. The 33 rooms are spread over six buildings of traditional Lao architecture, two of which, one dating from 1925 and the other from 1936, are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The serenity of the tropical garden, with its lovely swimming pool, is an invitation to relax. Breakfast is prepared with homemade products. Very pleasant lounge bar, restaurant and massage salon. Very warm welcome from Noy and her French husband, Patrick.

Just a stone's throw from the historic center of Luang Prabang, in an oasis of greenery and calm, the Villa Maydou hotel embodies the heritage of Laotian culture and its gentle way of life.
Noy, a Laotian, and her French husband Patrick, created the Villa Maydou hotel in 2005 around a project to restore 3 buildings listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
It now comprises six Lao-colonial buildings with 33 rooms classified in 2 categories, Heritage and Tradition, as well as a private residence "Maison Houng Chanh" with 3 bedrooms, lounge, dining room, indoor garden with swimming pool, outdoor lounge and kitchen, accommodating 6 people.
Hotel Villa Maydou also features a swimming pool with lounge bar, a restaurant and a massage salon.
Thanks to its integrated development approach, Hotel Villa Maydou was the only hotel in Luang Prabang to receive 3 Stars in the major sustainable development survey conducted by Exotissimo Voyages in 2018.

자전거 빌려서 시내 나가기도 좋고 근처에 로컬 음식점도 있고 직원들도 너무 친절하고 다 좋았는데 마루가 너무 삐걱거려서 방에서 움직일때마다 신경이 쓰여서 오래 있기는 힘들것 같아요.
건물자체가 문화유산이라 감안하고 숙박할 가치는 있는듯!
