The villa chitdara was built in 2007 by the chitdara, a lao-french family luang prabanese. the property is located in the heart of luang prabang near the main attractions of the city.
the upper rooms were built later in 2017. The hotel now has 25 rooms (15 standard rooms and 10 superior rooms).
Nestled among many temples, Villa Chitdara is located in a quiet street but less than 5 minutes walk from the night market.
From our courtyard or from your balcony, if your room is facing the street, you will discover the monks who give alms every morning. But if your room faces the backyard, you will have the chance to admire our relaxing tropical garden.
Every day a buffet breakfast is served on our quiet terrace in the garden.

On the other hand breakfast is horrible! Veery limited choices and quality of what's served there is poor.
Next thing is the service- most of the time I've been there, at the reception was only a guy who couldn't speak English so there was not much help from him.
Last thing- forget about scooter rental from them! They got me an old, noisy piece of junk to ride, which was a nightmare. And of course they charge the usual price so just go to the city and get a proper scooter.
In overall, the place is veeery expensive for what it offers. You can find plenty of better options on LP.
