This museum, founded as a result of a Franco-Lao cooperation project, is housed in a modest building. Very interesting and well laid out, it presents the 23 ethnic minorities of the Phongsali province. An interesting visit to better understand the diversity of the populations of the region. Information on history, customs, with photos and traditional clothing on display. An essential visit. It is located in the center, on the main street in front of the post office, before entering the old town

Le musée de Phongsaly a, depuis 2012, été entièrement refait et est maintenant un des plus riches musées ethnographique du Laos. Il contient énormément d'informations (une 30e de grands posters sur différents thèmes, et illustrés de photos, cartes, schémas) nous renseignent sur tous les aspects des ethnies de cette région. Il faudrait maintenant plus d'une heure pour tout lire, et regarder les costumes, objets et éléments de reconstitution rituels qui sont présents dans le musée !
