Hortay Pidok is a Buddhist library, founded in the 17th century, with a collection of nearly 4,000 manuscripts written in the Khmer language and ancient Lao. The manuscripts, made from palm leaves, are preserved by the monks living there. The wooden buildings on stilts are impressive. See if we have a little time. To get there, take Route 11 to the village of Ban Kengkok, then head towards Ban Taleo for 7 km before turning north to Ban Nonglam Chanh.
