PAKSE LOOP (LA BOUCLE DE PAKSÉ)

Paksé is now the meeting place for all lovers of two-wheeled adventure. Indeed, it is the starting point of a large loop to be done by scooter or motorcycle over two to three days. Of course it is also possible to do it by car or accompanied by a driver, even if the latter solution will cost you more.

Leave Paksé early enough, between 7 and 8 am, and take route 13, before branching off on route 20 towards the Bolavens plateau, for a first stop at the blacksmiths' village. On the way, don't miss to visit the Pasuam and Campee waterfalls. Then head for the magnificent Tad Lo waterfalls.

The next day, you can head south and return to Paksé (if you don't have enough time), or extend the trip to Sékong. Continue to make regular stops at the waterfalls and villages on your way, and visit one or more coffee farms, such as Sinouk or LAK 40, where you can also spend the night. The highlight of the last part of the loop is between Paksong and Paksé, where there are four unmissable waterfalls: Tad Yuang, Tad Tad Champi, Tad Fan and Tad Itou.

Between waterfalls, traditional villages of the Laven, Katou, Kaleun, Nge, Alak, and Souy ethnic groups, tea and coffee farms, and experience of the daily life of its inhabitants, this loop is undoubtedly a must in southern Laos.
