This temple is built on the remains of Khmer buildings that are no longer visible. Today it is a classical pagoda with a recent red and golden stupa, and above all a large statue of the reclining Buddha, in the position of waiting to reach nirvana. It is a sacred place for the local population. It is believed to contain a naga, a deity in the form of a snake, which is lurking in the depths of its lair. It's a good opportunity to take a nice walk to get there, and don't wake the sleeping snake!
