TAZARA TRAIN

Departure of the Mukuba Express linking Zambia and Tanzania from Kapiri Moshi, 200 km north of Lusaka. The transfer is easily done by bus from the bus station. This train passes through Mbeya. It leaves on Tuesdays from New Kapiri Moshi and on Fridays from Dar es Salaam by express train (lasts more or less 48 hours, departure at 4pm), and conversely on Fridays from New Kapiri Moshi and on Tuesdays from Dar es Salaam by regular train (count 3 days, departure around 2pm). The 1st and^2nd classes are sleeper (4-6 people), the^3rd class only seats.
