The Lechwe Trust is a charitable institution established in 1986 to fund scholarships for promising artists, commission and purchase works of art for public display, encourage art education, promote exhibitions in Africa, and support organizations working to preserve Zambian cultural heritage. Of the more than 100 artists in the gallery's collection, recent exhibits include contemporary artists: Vincentio Phiri, Godfrey Setti or Mwamba Mulangala.
